Advice for people with eating disorders in Bromsgrove and Redditch

Help and advice are being offered to people in Redditch and Bromsgrove struggling with the effects of eating disorders.

Southcrest Manor Hotel in Redditch is hosting a free event on Thursday, March 31, where people can listen to a talk on the problems and issues involved in assessing and managing eating disorders.

There will also be a film and a short talk from a former anorexia sufferer, before people are given the opportunity to ask questions.

The event has been organised by Bromsgrove-based nutritional consultant, Caroline Sproule, who runs the Bromsgrove Allergy and Nutrition Centre.

Alison Murphy is a client of the centre, who has suffered with an eating disorder and other health problems for many years.

She said: "Meeting with Caroline has absolutely changed my life. After various allergy tests she discovered I had a gluten intolerance which was the cause of many of the problems I had encountered for years. I stuck rigidly to her recommended plan of action and I can honestly say I have never felt better than I do now.”

The event starts at 7pm, and places are limited, so pre-registration is recommended. For more details, or to register, call Caroline on 01527 834624, or email
