Find your past at the library in Solihull

Solihull Council has become one of the first in the country to offer access to the 1911 census on all of its library computers.

‘Find My Past’ is now available at all libraries free of charge – all you need is a library card. Find My Past is currently the only subscription service allowing library access to the 1911 census.

As well as access to the 1911 census, ‘Find My Past’ also offers information on overseas birth, marriage and death indexes as well as records from the Society of Genealogists and the British Library.

For more information visit the Council’s website: www.solihull.gov.uk/heritage email: heritage@solihull.gov.uk or call: 0121 704 6934.

Don’t forget, the next census takes place on Sunday 27 March. It’s important that you take part so that local services such as schools, hospitals, housing, roads and emergency services can be planned and funded properly for the future. You will receive a census questionnaire through the post in a white and purple envelope, or for the first time ever you can complete it online at http://www.census.gov.uk/
