Heartlands medics get lyrical for community concert

Doctors and nurses from Heartlands Hospital joined Hodge Hill residents to showcase their singing talents in a community concert after months of rehearsals and vocal training.

The ‘Voices of Hodge Hill’, launched by Heartlands Hospital, saw community groups including school pupils and hospital medics come together to get professional music training and meet other budding performers.

Esther Jackson, music coordinator at Heartlands Hospital, said: “The groups involved have been attending music sessions and rehearsing since September 2010. This event was the ‘Voices of Hodge Hill’ finale, and we would like to thank all who attended and helped us mark the achievements of those involved.”

The music finale included performances from Rosary school choir, local guitarist Jahinglish and Hearts in Harmony, a vocal group made up of medics from the Hospital.
