Kidderminster and Bewdley schools in mock trial contest

SCHOOLS from Kidderminster, Bewdley and Cleobury Mortimer are taking part in a national competition at Worcester Magistrate’s Court.

King Charles I School, Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre and Lacon Childe School are three of the 15 schools taking part in the Schools Mock Trial competition on Saturday, March 19.

Teams of students from years eight and nine will take on the roles of magistrates, lawyers, defendants, witnesses and court staff in a specially written criminal case.

They will be judged by real magistrates and other legal professionals and liaison judge Alistair McCreath will present awards to the winners at crown court.
