Spring into self employment… Solihull

Budding entrepreneurs in Solihull are given a helping hand through a free start up business support programme – Enterprise for Success.

Having helped over 100 clients over the past four months, the programme is designed to support start up businesses from initial bright ideas, through to the first twelve months of trading, with a dedicated advisor on hand to guide them through the process.

Whether you would like advice on how to register your business, develop a marketing strategy or how to get started with financial planning the Enterprise for Success advisor provides individual and tailored support on a one to one basis, at pre-booked surgery sessions taking place at Solihull and Chelmsley Wood Libraries.

New start up, Tina Moore from on-line marketing specialists Boxado, said: "The Enterprise for Success programme provided me with valuable training and the ability to think outside of the box. The advisor spent time to understand my business and who my target customers were before offering tailored support according to my needs. Many of the ideas we discussed have enabled me to be successful in winning new business."

Councillor John Reeve, Cabinet Member for Community & Economic Regeneration said, "It is vital to encourage entrepreneurs and new start up enterprises locally, as a key component of the local economy. I would urge all individuals with a business idea to get in touch and explore the opportunities and support available through the Enterprise for Success programme."
