Stars can’t wait to take to the ice in Birmingham

Friday, April 15 – Monday, April 18

Tickets: From £32.50 (plus booking and transaction fees), The Ticket Factory, 0844 338 800,

The stars of hit TV show Dancing on Ice will be bringing their skating talents to The NIA in the spring as the live tour comes to Birmingham.

Tickets for the shows, which take place between Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18, are priced from £32.50 (plus booking and transaction fees) and are already on-sale from The Ticket Factory by logging on to or calling 0844 338 8000. Discounts for family tickets and senior citizens are available.

The line-up includes those still fighting for this year’s title, as well as some whose chances are over. Signed up are bookie’s favourite EastEnders actor Sam Attwater, alongside TV presenter Chloe Madeley, Chris Moyles’ sidekick Comedy Dave Vitty, children’s TV presenter Laura Hamilton, Coronation Street and Loose Women’s Denise Welch, singing legend Vanilla Ice and Victoria Cross winner Johnson Beharry. They will be joined by Dancing on Ice 2010 Champion Hayley Tamaddon.

TV personality and one time ’King of the Jungle’ Christopher Biggins who debuted as a judge on 2010 tour, returns to the panel alongside skating gold medallist and TV judge Robin Cousins and head skating coach from the ITV series, Karen Barber. Popular TV presenter Andi Peters also returns to host the tour. All of the celebrities will be trained and choreographed by Torvill & Dean, who will also perform routines choreographed exclusively for the live tour. One further celebrity skater will be announced soon.

The audience can vote for their favourite celebrity skater. Using the same format as the hit ITV1 show, spectators can use their mobile phones to text vote for their favourite celebrity. Audience votes will then be added to scores from the Judges to decide the overall celebrity winner. The winning couple then take to the ice for a magical finale performance.

As with previous tours, all profits from text voting will go to charity. More than £100,000 has been raised to date and has been donated to the Royal London Society for the Blind and Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

Evening shows take place at 7.30pm on April 15, 16 and 18, and 6.30pm on April 17. Afternoon shows are at 2.30pm on April 16 and 1.30pm on April 17. Vanilla Ice cannot perform during the shows on Saturday, April 16.
