TOGA + Loll: A Fashionista’s Paradise

Mother’s Day Event Showcases its Unique Offering

Solihull independent fashion retailer TOGA + Loll brings a sense of Carnaby Street style to the local fashionistas of Birmingham, with an array of independent designs, one off vintage finds, bespoke jewellery, accessories and photography.

TOGA + Loll breathes new life into a fashion world dominated by well-known High Street brands. Boutique owner, Rukhsana Sardar explains: “In this difficult economic climate customers are looking for investment pieces, not throw away fashion. The majority of High Street stores offer cheaper clothes but at a far higher cost, as customers fall victim to ever changing styles and poor quality designs. TOGA + Loll is a fashion boutique that aims to offer a unique retail experience with an individual product range, which the mainstream is unable to offer.

“The feedback from my customers has been phenomenal; they tell me that it is so refreshing to find something different to the offering from the bigger chains.”

TOGA + Loll has responded to the idea that fashionistas desire something more than just clothing, but an experience. Rukhsana comments: “The people of Solihull respond to interesting, inventive and wearable clothes. TOGA + Loll understand what style conscious women want and offer both bespoke and key vintage pieces to bring Solihull style seekers a piece of fashion that will be timeless.”

Rukhsana also works with a team of local talented designers and artists including; Tizzy and Tullulah, hair accessories & jewellery, Pegg Lane hair accessories & jewellery, Petite K vintage charm jewellery, Robert J.Elmor and Harry Starling both talented local photographers.

To showcase the skills of the local designers and their one-off pieces, TOGA + Loll opened its doors on Saturday 2nd April to celebrate Mother’s Day in style. The unique Mother’s Day shopping experience saw TOGA + Loll team up with local baking hero, The Boutique Baking Company, who supplied tempting handmade cupcakes that mothers and daughters alike enjoyed.

A representative from The Boutique Baking Company comments: “We are thrilled to be involved with the TOGA + Loll Mother’s Day event. Here at The Boutique Baking Company we have a passion for fabulous food made from the best ingredients, and much like TOGA + Loll, pride ourselves in supplying something totally unique.”

If that wasn’t enough to get Mums’ giddy, local musical talents, Ben and Susie were on hand to provide live entertainment as shoppers perused the rails of one-off clothing, jewellery and millinery designs.

Mell Square Centre Manager, Paul Round adds: “TOGA + Loll has created something really unique for the Solihull shoppers and for the wider-community. The shop is testament to the fantastic talents in Solihull and it also offers Mell Square shoppers an array of special pieces that you cannot find elsewhere.”
