A variety of animals including cattle, sheep, horses and dogs will be on show competing for top prizes culminating in the spectacular Grand Parade of winning cattle and horses in the main ring.

Showcasing some of the region’s best food and drink, the Food Hall will be a local gourmet’s delight with a diversity of delicious products, while the Horticulture Marquee will feature wonderful displays of flowers, fruit and vegetables.

A variety of stands featuring everything from seeds to saddlery and wines to wellies awaits the enthusiastic browser; there’s also an Antiques Fair providing the opportunity to hunt out a bargain or two. And for more retail therapy the indoor Shopping Arcade contains craft stalls offering handmade jewellery, greeting cards and much more.

There will also be plenty for children to see and do including activities on the Village Green after its opening by the Newport Carnival King and Queen.
