Astonfields Flora Walk - tomorrow

Sunday 19 June

Astonfields Local Nature Reserve, Stafford

A chance to look at the flora of Astonfields LNR which is managed by Stafford Borough Council. The site has a good variety of plants, some quite uncommon like Wormwood and Buttonweed. This diversity is due to the many habitats found on site. If lucky you may also find some rare orchid species nearby too – including the Bee Orchid which doesn't always flower in the same place. There will also be time to look out for some of the reserve’s rich birdlife – for example the Reed Bunting and Reed Warbler.

Meet at the entrance on Schott Glass car park, Drummond Road, Stafford.
