Brother's navy band to appear at West Brom mega music fundraiser

12 HOUR CHARITY FUNDRAISING MUSIC MARATHON

IN MEMORY OF WEST BROMWICH MAN

12 hour charity fundraising music marathon in memory of Simon Turton (36) with proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. 28 bands on three stages with music for everyone including Indie music, Rock, Country, a Beatles tribute Band and Bobby’s Helmet, a band of serving Navy personnel whose line-up features Simon’s brother, Paul.

Saturday 11 June, from midday – Sunday 00:30

Lee Judge, from West Bromwich and who works in credit control at npower in Oldbury, has been organising the music fundraiser for the past 14 years. The loss of his best mate, Simon, due to a brain tumour, has meant he will be donating the money raised to Macmillan, this year.

To raise £6k for the charity with an additional £1k to be donated by npower.

The Public has donated its venue for free

There will activities for kids during the afternoon including animated robots, face painting and an art club

Tickets are £8.00 and can be purchased directly from the Public box office with under 12s admitted free

Macmillan is npower’s charity partner
