Family bike ride around Worcester

Transition Worcester and Scenic Cyclists will be repeating last year’s hit “Family Fun Bike Ride” as part of the National Bike Week. We’ll lead an expected 100 people on group bike rides around the city on Sunday 19th June. Come and join the fun! Turn up around 10am for a 10.30 start, by the Pumphouse Environment Centre at Gheluvelt Park, and it’s free!

Please pre-register if possible using our online form on our website – http://www.transitionworcester.org.uk/

The route is roughly 12 miles around the city showing off some of the city’s delightful sights at a leisurely pace. As it is all on cycle paths and quiet roads it will be pleasant cycling.

Aaron Jones of Scenic Cyclists says “We want people to see bikes as enjoyment and to get out and make use of them, and not just as a transport means, although that clearly is good over using cars and buses. On ya bike man! Getting out and about around the scenery is a joy”

The Transition Town movement encourages cycling as personal transport for the future. It’s healthy, sociable and fun. While fuel prices continue to rise it makes more sense every day.
