Slimming World Business Grants

We’re looking for Special People for a Special Role

In Aston, Bordesley Green, Washwood Heath, Sparkbrook, Handsworth, Soho, Ladywood

Business grants are available for you to develop your business supporting your community to lose weight

What is on offer?

The NHS are partnering with Slimming World to offer 7 business support grants to individuals to enable them to set up their own Slimming World group in the areas listed above. This could be your route to a career with so much flexibility that it fits in with your lifestyle in a way that other roles cannot.

It is a very special job that needs very special people. People who have been there – battled with weight problems –understand perfectly and can now inspire and motivate others to reach the same goals you yourself will have achieved or are working towards.

Slimming World Consultants generally earn between

£75 and £400 per week.

The business grant will pay for the start up costs of your Slimming World business including your franchise licence, training, and literature. We will also give you business support to develop and grow your business.

Could this be you?

As a Consultant you will be kind, warm, sometimes firm with a good sense of humour – as you offer support and encouragement to your group members. You don’t need any specific qualifications or experience, we’ll provide all the training you need. Being a successful Slimming World member, well on your way to your target gives you a head start (or being prepared to become a Slimming World group member to develop your experience of the approach).

Are you eligible for a business support grant to start up your Slimming World Business?

NHS Birmingham are offering business grants specifically to develop Slimming World groups in areas with a high need but a current lack of Slimming World businesses. We want to support the establishment of groups that are specifically aimed at South Asian populations; are grounded in the local community and where the Consultant can relate to the local people and understand the specific opportunities and barriers they may experience when trying to lose weight.

We want to support the development of Consultants who live within or close to the following areas: Aston, Bordesley Green, Washwood Heath, Sparkbrook, Handsworth, Ladywood and Soho.

As well as meeting or having a willingness to meet the criteria to become a Slimming World Consultant, you will also need to live within one of the communities above. It would also be desirable if you were able to speak Urdu, Punjabi or Bengali.
