Shaylor Group launches support for Birmingham Children’s Hospital with charity football tournament

Shaylor Group’s charity football team ready for action.
West Midlands based construction company Shaylor Group is launching a twelve month programme of support for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, kicking off with a charity football tournament.

Shaylor Group’s target over the next twelve months is to raise £10,000 towards a blood analyser for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

They have a series of events planned to raise money and are calling on other companies to join them and put forward their own 5-a-side team of football champions for the tournament.

Shaylor is aiming to put together 16 teams of eight people for the tournament which is set to take place on Monday September 26th at Futsal, Great King Street North, Birmingham.

Ian Kilvington, business development executive for Shaylor, who is organising the event, said:

“We are delighted that our chosen charity for the year ahead is Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We’re looking forward to the football match which is always a favourite in our fund raising calendar and our first major charity event for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

“We are calling on all budding David Beckham’s to put together a team and help us make the tournament a huge success. Opportunities also exist for companies to support the event by offering more prizes or supporting a team on the night.”

Prizes already confirmed include a trophy and medals for the winning team with medals for the runners up. The ‘man of the match’ (top goal scorer) will receive a Futsal football. The team with most sponsorship will receive a one hour free pitch hire voucher and raffle prizes include a signed Aston Villa Football strip and Futsal hooded top.

Please contact ian.kilvington@shaylorgroup.com to enter a team, the entry fee is £35. If you would like to sponsor the Shaylor Group team online, please visit our website or www.justgiving.com/shaylor-group
