Social Enterprise Heritage Project

Here is an update about the Social Enterprise Heritage Project we are working on at The Future Melting Pot CIC.

The project is exploring the history of social enterprise/social business in Birmingham, comparing the social businesses of the past to the social enterprises of today.

The research will be documented in the form of oral histories which will be added to the Birmingham Archives as a documentary film which will be going into production within the next few months and then showcased in schools and educational institutions.

We are now at the point in the project where we are to begin creating the oral histories and we are searching for contributors from local social enterprises to make history by telling us their story of what it is like to run a social enterprise.

We have a blog site which gives an overview of the project so far. It would be great if social enterprises can contribute thoughts on the topic on the blog.
