Cycle Show 2011 set to be best yet

The Cycle Show is back for 2011 and celebrating its 10th birthday this year, at its new home at the NEC, Birmingham. With some of the world’s most desirable brands in cycling exhibiting this year, visitors will be able to grab a sneak preview of the latest bikes, accessories and fashions.

Whether you are looking for the latest innovations from specialist brands, wanting to try out a new mountain bike or see highly skilled BMX riders perform, the Cycle Show offers an amazing day out for everyone.

Visitors to this year’s show will get to see product launches from top names including Bianchi, Campagnolo, Continental, Garmin, Hope Technology, Castelli, Peugeot, FSA, Colnago, Look, Hed, Condor, Rose, Dawes, SRAM, Zipp, Felt and many more.

With triathlon becoming more popular than ever, this year will also see a focus on triathlon, with brands including Newton and 2XU making an appearance, as well as a chance for visitors to test their endurance levels and compete in the indoor triathlon with a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

In addition, the new look Cycle Store will have a wide selection of branded clothing, accessories, lights and shoes to buy.

Not only will you get to see the latest across all genres of cycling, but this year’s show, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 30 September to 2 October, will also offer you the chance to try out the latest bikes for 2012 on two brand new outdoor demo tracks.

For mountain bike enthusiasts, there will be a purpose built 1km outdoor mountain bike demo track, sponsored by dare2b and jointly funded by the Birmingham NEC and Cycle Show organisers, featuring table top jumps, flowing rock drops, low riders, cambered turns, bermed corners and a rolling/pump feature as well as a combination of fast flowing and technical sectors. The show will also feature a 600m outdoor road bike demo track - designed specifically with the road bike rider and commuter in mind, offering the opportunity to try the latest road bikes, including folding and electric bikes on tarmac for an authentic road cycling experience.

Supported by cycling celebrities such as GB champs Geraint Thomas and Rebecca Romero, as well as Olympic hopeful, Ben Swift, Cycle Show 2011 is not to be missed.
