Heart of England Kite Day

Kite enthusiasts are invited to show off their skills at a Solihull park later this month.

The 'Heart of England Kite day' takes place at Lavender Hall Park on Saturday 17 September from 11am-3pm.

The ‘Sky Symphony Kite Display team’ will be performing breathtaking routines to music. Experts will also be on-hand to share their kite flying skills at this free event.

Other entertainment includes a puppet show, face painter, steel band and children’s rides. Refreshments and catering are also available.

Councillor Mrs Diana Holl-Allen, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities said: “Lavender Hall Park is the perfect setting for this exciting event. It’s a chance for the whole family to come and have fun and brush up on their kite flying skills.”
