Worcester Youth get Sportivated this Autumn

As part of the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Sport England has invested £32 million of National Lottery funding over the next four years into a programme called ‘Sportivate’, which is being implemented across County Sport Partnerships and Local Authorities in England from April 2011 to March 2015.

Worcester City Council has 18 Exciting Sportivate programmes which will be rolling out from October 2011. Projects consist of a wide range of sports, including swimming, zumba, tennis, parkour, boxing and watersports. 14-25 year olds can participate in these 6 to 8 week inspirational programmes for a low cost, and will have plenty of incentives in place to keep them coming back for more.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to have fun, try out something new or improve your sporting skills,” said Hannah Cox, Sport, Art & Play Development Manager at Worcester City Council.
