Matt Hampson Foundation.

One date that definitely needs to be on your 2012 calendar is February 15th because that’s when the Matt Hampson Foundation will be holding its annual Six Nations Dinner. And if you don’t have your new calendar yet then the Matt Hampson Foundation has the perfect solution with its 2012 calendar (available at http://www.matthampsonfoundation.org), featuring England players in action on the pitch. Apologies to all you ladies that were expecting the usual naked calendar, but we didn’t want the other half of the population to feel left out this year!

The Six Nations Dinner will take place at Battersea Evolution, London, and is set to be a fantastic evening. Guests will be welcomed on arrival at 6.30pm with a drinks reception and a three course dinner including drinks will follow until carriages at 2am. It’s the best rugby dinner of the year with many of the England squad past and present attending and all the fun is for an extremely worthy cause.

The Matt Hampson Foundation was formed in 2011 by former English rugby union prop Matt Hampson, who became quadriplegic following an accident when training for England under 21s in 2005. Matt decided to turn his passion and determination into something positive that could help others in a similar situation. The Foundation aims to provide advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sporting activity.

“Starting the Matt Hampson Foundation would mean nothing if it wasn’t for the support and enthusiasm of everyone that has been involved over the past year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have contributed to the success of the Foundation, which is already making a real difference to the lives of so many young people. I look forward to toasting you all at the Six Nations Dinner and hope to see lots of supporters there enjoying themselves!” commented Matt.
