On Saturday the 3rd of December 2011 the society ended the year’s activities by visiting Nailcote Hall. Dr. Nat Alcock gave a lecture on Vernacular Houses in and around Berkswell, all this was followed by a super Christmas tea.

On Tuesday the 21st of February 2011 Dr. Sylvia Pinches will be lecturing on Compton Verney, the former home of the Willoughby de Broke family, when she will be discussing the development of the house in relationship to those who lived there, weaving family history with architectural history. This will include details on how the household was run and the lives and experiences of the servants working there.

The meeting will begin 8.00pm, preceded by coffee at 7.30pm. at the Quaker Meeting House, High Street, Warwick, CV34 4AX and is open to all, though there is a charge of £2.00 for guests - refundable on the night if they join the Society.
