Senior Community Support Worker (full time)

Starting salary £22,000 per annum

HOOPS Birmingham seeks an experienced and energetic person to join our small team in a role which will support older people in the community. We are looking for someone with substantial experience in the health or social care field working with vulnerable adults in a community setting. This role has senior responsibilities such as liaison with the Board of Trustees and strategic development of the organisation as well as hands-on responsibilities of client engagement and assessment.

Community Support Worker (either part time or full time)

Starting salary £18,135 per annum (pro rata for a part-time post)

HOOPS Birmingham seeks an experienced and energetic person to join our small team in a role which will support older people in the community. We are looking for someone who has experience in working with vulnerable adults in a community setting, in both one to one support and group work, offering advice or community advocacy or similar, using ongoing support plans agreed with each client.

HOOPS Birmingham is a voluntary organisation which promotes the well being of people over the age of 55 residing in Birmingham by providing a FREE at point of delivery service offering a wide range of emotional and practical support, aimed at maintaining the individual’s independence. Upon receiving the referral from a variety of sources, a home visit is made to the clients’ home followed by an initial assessment and the creation of an action plan. Our services offer clear progression plans moving individual service users towards peer support, group advocacy and self sustainability. Along with services, HOOPS Birmingham organises various events for its clients such as day trips, visits to places of interest and parties, thus encouraging older people to continue having healthy social lives.
