WIN A PAIR OF TICKETS TO SEE CAREY MARX
FRIDAY 8th JUNE 2012
WINNER– BEST INTERNATIONAL SHOW – NEW ZEALAND COMEDY FESTIVAL 2009 and 2011
NOMINATED BEST SHOW – LEICESTER COMEDY FESTIVAL 2009
Carey is massive hit with audiences mixing his own blend of dark humour with his mischievous and gleeful delivery. His wilful disregard for the controversial and delicate is tempered beautifully by his ability to find joy in the most unexpected places. This hilarious mix of edgy topics and playful gagsmithery means he’s in demand including an extended run in the Middle East, Australia , Canada and then coming home to be the compere of choice at Reading , Leeds and Glastonbury Festivals.
Alongside his stand up, Carey records a popular weekly topical podcast with comedian Barry Castagnola, called "The Proper Gander". The hilarious show has received 5 star reviews from listeners and is available through iTunes.
Don’t miss this guy as he packs more laughs per minute than just about any comedian you can see.
Unbelievably funny throughout!’ The Scotsman
‘Guarantees a cascade of laughs’ Chortle
‘Shockingly hilarious’ Sunday Mail
Also appearing…
Duncan Oakley
Regular feature on BBC Radio 4's "Shappi Talk" with Shappi Korsandi
He’s known for being very naughty and really quite rude, at least on stage; but this cheerfully childish behaviour belies his credentials as a seasoned professional show off. Plus he's older than he looks: Duncan has been a musician, composer and comedian for twenty years. He'll blow you away as he powers out a deft blend of stupidity and truly impressive musicianship (he's nifty on a guitar) and you'll quickly warm to his easy confidence and good natured banter. He never fails to put on a show and one with laughs you’ll remember for years to come.
Joe Lycett
“Bundle of charisma and hilarity” BBC
Star of BBC 1’s Epic Win & Channel 4’s 8 out of 10 Cats
While still being a young pup, Joe has a string of TV and radio appearances to his name and has been on tour with Ross Noble and Jack Whitehall to boot. He’s well on his way to being a household name and it surely won’t be long before he’s touring himself and will be too big to play comedy clubs – so catch him while you can!
‘One of the strongest comedy talents we've seen in a long time. This young man has a huge future' TimeOut
