Our new Project Admin Nathan Dennis has been doing a fantastic job at reviving the Nyam project. There have been a number of cookery classes which have taken place as part of the project which have enabled young people from a variety of backgrounds to learn how to cook delicious Jamaican meals.

This Thursday the Nyam Project will be hosting its first event of the year: Young, Jamaican and Proud. The event will feature a dynamic panel discussion, entertainment, cultural stalls and most of all lots of family fun. It is totally FREE. The event is at 6pm at the Paragon Hotel. The Stem Programme has been running for the past few months providing young people with training in the areas of Events Management and personal and professional development. The programme ends in two weeks but the young people have really excelled.

The third round of STEM will start in October. Interested parties should email info@aspire4u.co.uk for an application form. Participants have to be 17 – 25 and not in full time employment, education or training. The programme will be two days a week for four weeks.
