Schools Proms in the Park is free so come along and enjoy some fantastic music – why not bring a picnic too!
The Last Night of the Proms finale on Friday 6 July at 6.30pm showcases the fantastic Worcestershire Youth Brass Band. It features several patriotic favourites including an Olympic Fanfare; Chariots of Fire; British Sea Songs; Pomp & Circumstance and Jerusalem. Come and wave your Union Jack!
The event is the brainchild of Nicky Daw, an Area Director for Worcestershire Youth Music.
“Schools Proms in the Parkgives so many children the opportunity to stand up and play to others, in some cases for the very first time,” she says.
“Gheluvelt Park is a beautiful and relaxed venue for them in perform in; we received so many positive comments from people in the audience at last year’s event, and hope that whatever the weather, Worcester residents will be out in force again this year too!”
