Coventry Transport Museum gets set for Summer of Cycling

It’s set to be a cycle-tastic summer in Coventry, home of the modern bicycle, as Coventry Transport Museum presents Pedals To Medals, an extraordinary new exhibition that celebrates the history and heroes of all kinds of competitive cycling.

Visitors will get up close with bicycles and memorabilia from Olympic champions Tommy Godwin, Chris Boardman and Tom Sabin, come face to face with bikes that were ridden to glory on roads, velodromes, mountains and Cyclocross tracks, and hear the stories of incredible people who changed the face of cycling forever.

Families will be able to make their own piece of cycling history by getting hands-on with a range of interactive activities within the exhibition, with lots of bikes to have a go on, craft activities to enjoy and trails to follow together as a family. Lycra not essential!

Just arrived at Coventry Transport Museum : two vehicles from the Ridley Scott film Prometheus are now on display in the Museum – admission FREE.

Pedals To Medals runs from 22 June to 14 October, and is open from 10am to 5pm daily (last admission 4.30pm).Craft Activities and activity trails are available from Wed 25th July to Sun 2nd September.
