Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust

Whether you are interested in space travel or time travel there is plenty to keep you busy at the Ironbridge Gorge Museums this summer. At Enginuity Design and Technology Centre you can design and build your own buggy to navigate a rugged Martian landscape and join in interactive shows about Space. Across at Blists Hill Victorian Town you can travel back one hundred years and meet the Victorians in their homes, shops and workplaces. There are also lots of special events to lookout for, such as the Detectives Weekend 4-5 August and Treasure Island Weekend 25-27 August.

If you want to get a bit arty, join in the regularly held workshops at Coalport China Museum, where you can model a plant maker or decorate a mug with flowers. Alternatively have a go at decorating a tile at Jackfield Tile Museum with floral scenes inspired by the International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition that is running until 1st September.

Throughout the summer you can experience CORE, a world class digital generative art exhibition by international artist Kurt HentschlÓ“ger and part of the London 2012 Festival. Step into a generative digital creation of movement and sound, where giant projections give a glimpse into a weightless world populated by humanoid figures in extreme motion.
