Half-term entertainment in Southside

Come and enjoy an action packed calendar of fun in Birmingham’s popular Southside district this half-term, where you’ll find a fantastic array of entertainment on offer.

For an uplifting dose of entertainment this half-term, come down to The Old Rep Theatre where you’ll find a host of entertaining shows, including a fantastic rendition of Rumpelstiltskin by the MCS Rep Company. The show will run from 25 – 27 October, so don’t miss your chance to get tickets.

Over at The Electric Cinema there’s a whole host of exciting flicks available. With screenings of On The Road, Untouchable, Looper and Holy Motors throughout October, and James Bond’s Skyfall arriving on the 26 October, you’re bound to find something to take your fancy.

Finish off your evenings with a classic show at Birmingham Hippodrome, in the heart of Southside’s theatre district. From comedy and ballet to musicals, Birmingham Hippodrome has an impressive showcase on offer over the half-term holiday, including the brilliant Blood Brothers which will be showing at the theatre from 22 October to 3 November.

If all that excitement leaves you feeling peckish, Las Iguanas is letting kids eat free to celebrate its children’s week this half-term. To add to the fun, youngsters are also encouraged to have a go at decorating animal masks. Any photos of the animal masks that are posted onto Las Iguanas’ Facebook page will be entered into a draw to win limited edition Las Iguanas t-shirts and a family meal for four. The restaurant will also be collecting donations for its chosen children’s charities Action for Children and Amantani.
