Jump The Shark – With support from The Limelight + The Making + Lovesick Delores - The Slade Rooms, Wolverhampton : Sunday 16th December 2012

Jump the Shark have already enjoyed regular packed-out gigs at Wolverhampton ’s Robin2, Slade Rooms and Newhampton Arts Centre. They are a regular name on the Dakota Beats Presents nights. The band’s tracks have had regular airplay having been picked up by BBC Radio Shropshire’s Introducing show. The original members are Theo Williams and Matthew Sorrenti Gregory Tasha Jones and Jon Murphy. Having met up through Wolverhampton ’s Zip Rock-school they quickly gelled together through their musical taste and desire to write and perform their own music. Within a few months the band had written a number of tracks and last September recorded their debut single Today at Magic Garden Studios with acclaimed producer Gavin Monaghan. They went on to record further tracks towards their debut EP. Working alongside Ed Davies from Zip, the band signed up a new drummer, 16-year-old Liam Price earlier this year, and recorded So Far Away, their current single, which is now available on iTunes. Musical influences range from the Little Comets, Tribes, Bombay Bicycle Club, Biffy Clyro, Kings Of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Blondie and Primal Scream to Robert Johnson, Hendrix and The Beatles.
