Experts on embroidery, crochet, sewing, knitting, lace-making, spinning and weaving will be displaying their work and demonstrating their skills at this one off craft fair. The High House’s own Borough Broderers will be one of a number of groups giving visitors a chance to try out some of the traditional crafts themselves.
There will also be French Knitting workshops and an opportunity to speak to 17th century re-enactors about clothing and materials in Tudor and Stuart periods.
The Ancient High House in the largest timber framed town house in England built in around 1595. In 1642 King Charles I stayed there en route to Shrewsbury.
