To mark Climate Week 2013, we are holding a Sustainability Spring Fair on Saturday 9th March at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.As Birmingham strives to become a “leading green city”, the Fair brings together different activities and demonstrations to show how everyone can contribute towards minimising our effect on the climate whilst creating an entertaining, creative, educational and fun “green” day out for all the family.Attractions include:
· Fair-trade and ethical market selling locally sources produce and crafts from around the world
Stage shows featuring local bands, dancers, magic and fun· Learn how to save money at the Carillion Energy Road Show and sign up to the Birmingham Green Deal· Young children will enjoy making things out of scrap at the Play Care Network Scrap Store, whilst older kids can have a go at learning circus skills, playing giant games on the lawn or sumo wrestling!· Sample tasty food whipped up from leftovers at the Love Food Hate Waste stand· Stroll around the beautiful grounds, glass houses and aviaries of the Botanical Gardens
