Time to burn off those Easter eggs and get in shape for the summer in Worcester!

Are you between 14 and 25 years old? Do you want to try something new for six to eight weeks, get better at a sporting activity and have some fun? If so, our low cost Sportivate programmes are for you!
The aim of Sportivate is to encourage lifelong participation in sport through innovative and inspiring programmes, designed especially for young people who are struggling to find or afford the right sporting opportunity.
Since October 2011, over 900 young people have taken part in a six to eight week Sportivate programme in Worcester. This April, the City Council is offering new courses in football, basketball, water sports (canoeing and kayaking), cricket, and rowing.
Additionally, Nunnery Wood and St. Johns Sports Centre are offering six week off-peak gym memberships for only £19.50. For a full list of available programmes, go to www.worcester.gov.uk/sportivate
If there is a particular sport you’d like to see offered in a future Sportivate programme, let us know. Contact John Clark onjohn.clark@worc.ac.uk or call 01905 542 034.
