Free business mentors in the West Midlands

Dear Colleague,
Free business mentors in the West Midlands
I manage a free business mentoring programme for the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs which provides bank mentors to businesses, individuals and social enterprises across the West Midlands. Mentors are trained or going through accreditation to become qualified business mentors. I work with the mentors and recruit business for them to mentor within the West Midlands and manage the relationship. I contact the people needing a mentor and look at what level of support that they need and give them information on how the programme works

Applicants are then matched to a mentor and a face to face meeting takes place so that mentee and mentor can agree on how they will work together and where they look at what mentoring is and is not. They then arrange any subsequent meetings between themselves.

Mentors pay particular attention to confidentiality, building trust and rapport, using open questioning and active listening skills so that mentees can have a safe place in which to address issues within their organisations. They are there to act in the organisations best interest but may at times challenge and make the question what they are doing. They are not there to take over or to tell them what to do.

If you would like to apply for mentoring support or simply want to know more about the programme, please contact me as per the details below.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
Christine
