Beggar & Co are visiting Birmingham’s leading live music venue The Jam House for an unmissable performance on Thursday 19 September.
Beggar & Co, which features three of the founding members of 70s British jazz-funk band Light of The World, rose to fame in the early 80s with jazz and soul classics including ‘Somebody Help Me Out’ and ‘Mule (Chant No 2)’. They are now heading to The Jam House to perform their hits with UK band The Funk Jazz Collective.
As individual musicians, Beggar & Co band members Kenny Wellington, David Baptiste and Neville 'Breeze' McKrieth have become some of the mainstays of the UK jazz and soul scene, playing alongside Paul McCartney, Simply Red, Tina Turner and Billy Ocean. They have also had success with their own projects including jazz funk bands Incognito, Central Line and The Funk Jazz Collective.
John Bunce, General Manager of The Jam House in St Paul’s Square, said: “This show will reflect not only the hits from Beggar & Co and Light of the World, but also the work and influences that have shaped their illustrious careers.”
Visitors to The Jam House can also dine in the venue’s bustling restaurant which features a tempting menu of delicious freshly cooked fine international cuisine. Prices for dinner start from £38 for a two-course meal.
The Jam House plays host to an action packed calendar of some of the UK’s best loved bands every week. Tickets to see Beggar & Co cost £8 and are available to buy from www.thejamhouse.com
