Paralympic Gold Medallist Hosts International Disability Arts Festival

The WHY? Festival

Robin Surgeoner MBE, 9 Times Gold Medal winning Swimmer form Sutton Coldfield, is promoting a brand new Disability Arts Festival in The Black Country 21st, 26th 27th & 28th November

Every artist at the festival is a Disabled Person, and their artistic performances explores the emotional roller coaster of being a Disabled Person, and how they interface with the non-Disabled world.  Performances will be both celebratory as well as challenging, humorous as well as biting, with music ranging from acoustic based songs to cutting edge beats

"The festival explores exciting new performance work that comeslfrom Social Oppression but leads to self-expression and self-realisation. From the inspiring independent organisation of hip-hop activists Krip-Hop Nation to a comedian couple taking control of society's views of disabled people in relationships²

The Festival features the International Music Artists Krip Hop, a Play entitled One Of Us Will Die, by Australian Actress Kiruna Stamell (Moulin Rouge, East Enders, Life¹s Too Short) and Gareth Berliner (Stand Up Comedian, Coronation Street)
