Worcester’s the place to spend your half term!

There are lots of activities in Worcester to keep the whole family occupied during schools’ half term week (27 – 31 October 2014).
 
Fireworks Fright Night
 
When:  Thursday 30 October   
Where:  KGV Playing Fields (Brickfields Park), Ash Avenue,

Cost:  Free
 
Come along to the FREE KGV spooktacular Fireworks Frightnight!
Fireworks, funfair, entertainment throughout the evening, food stalls and much, much more.
 
Half Price fair rides between 3.00pm and 5.00pm
Football tournament between 4.00pm and 6.00pm

Halloween at Fort Royal and the Commandery
 
When: Friday 31 October: 6.00pm and 8.00pm
Where: Fort Royal Park and The Commandery, Sidbury, Worcester WR1 2HU
Cost: Free
 
Halloween-themed activities for children and families, organised by the Friends of Fort Royal and Commandery Gardens, in partnership with The Commandery.
 
Meet at the Commandery for the fancy dress competition:
 
·         Ages 0-4 years                6.00pm start
·         Ages 5-8 years                6.15pm start
·         Ages 9-12 years              6.30pm start
 
Afterwards there will be a Spooky Treasure Hunt in Fort Royal Park.
Return to the Commandery for prizes and a disco party!

The 100th Anniversary Commemoration of the Battle of Gheluvelt
 
When: Friday 31 October: 11.00am
Where: Gheluvelt Park, Barbourne Road, Worcester WR3 7AA
 
A commemoration event to mark the Centenary of the Battle of Gheluvelt, with stalls and displays, artillery guns, and bands in the park.  Organised by Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regimental Association Worcester Branch www.wfraworcester.com.
