IDEAL for families & kids (age 3+)

Direct from the West End, Erth’s DINOSAUR ZOO is back for its second major UK tour and arrives at Birmingham Hippodrome on  Friday 13-Sunday 15 March 2015.

Australian-based creators Erth use ingenious puppetry to bring dinosaurs to life in this interactive and imaginative live show. Suitable for all the family (ages 3+), DINOSAUR ZOO introduces audiences to a range of creatures from cute baby dinos to teeth-gnashing giants, including a carnivorous theropod known as the Australovenator, based on the most complete meat-eating dinosaur skeleton found in Australia.

Intrepid audience members brave enough to get up close and personal with the dinosaurs are brought onto the stage to assist the Zoo Keeper in his/her daily tasks - but be warned - not all of these ravenous reptiles are as tame as they seem!  For those who aren't able to join the dinosaurs on stage, they will have the opportunity to meet them at the official ‘meet and greet’, which takes place at the end of each show.

DINOSAUR ZOO roared into the UK last summer enjoying a hugely successful season at Regent’s Park Open-Air Theatre followed by a 22-venue UK tour. The show transferred to the West End for a 7-week Christmas season at the Phoenix Theatre prior to this year’s spring tour. Fast-becoming a worldwide hit, DINOSAUR ZOO has played to family and schools audiences all over the world, from Australia to Los Angeles, from New York City to Bahrain, exciting children with its popular mix of entertaining humour, adventurous daring and informative learning.

Based in Sydney Australia, Erth create original live theatre at the forefront of new performance practice, inspiring audiences with their unique and dynamic vision. Since its beginnings in 1990, the company has strived to provide audiences with eye-popping visual experiences incorporating, amongst other disciplines, giant puppetry and inflatable environments. Erth has performed internationally at events and festivals, including the Sydney Olympic Games Opening Ceremony in 2000.
