Residents invited to find out more about Solihull Central Library, Arts Complex and Connect refurbishment

Solihull Council is inviting residents to find out more about the upcoming Solihull Central Library, Arts Complex and Connect refurbishment, which is taking place between August 2015 and February 2016.

The public exhibition runs from Friday 5 June (10am – 6pm) until Saturday 6 June (10am – 5pm), at Solihull Arts Complex.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to view visuals of the planned design, 3D floor plans, material samples and information about what the refurbishment will entail, and the motivation behind it. They will also be able to discuss the plans with Council staff, who will be available from 10am each day.

Councillor Karen Grinsell, Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and Partnerships, said: “This major refurbishment is necessary so that the building continues to meet the needs of the local community.

“This scheme will improve existing facilities and introduce some important new functions, whilst also providing a new home for the Voluntary and Community Sector in Central Solihull.”

“I encourage all residents to come along to the exhibition to find out more.”
