·       big MOUTH, a solo exhibition by Emma Hart

·       Exhibition opening: Friday 4 September 2015, 6 – 8pm

·       Exhibition continues 5 September – 31 October, Gallery open Wednesday – Saturday, 12-5pm

big Mouth is a solo exhibition of work by London-based artist Emma Hart. Emma presents a selection of ceramic works that aim to get behind the glossy finish presented by photographs and digital images.

The exhibition comprises sculptures made from clay representing different body parts - arms, fists, bums, legs – and everyday household objects including wine glasses and trays. Alongside the sculptures will be contrasting sound, film and photography elements that deal with subject matter including roadside gutters and sweaty legs.

Emma’s work is inspired by her own experiences: her stresses, anxieties, embarrassments, tensions and anguish. Through mixing her expressive sculptural work with sound and video elements she encourages us to confront the emotions and experiences that make up everyday life.

A range of free events will accompany the exhibition including a workshop, artists’ talk and performance. Please visit the website for more details.
